ASCA IgA Kit

This assay is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), specifically Crohn's disease. The kit is designed for the detection and quantitation of IgA anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae antibodies in human serum.

Antigen

The microwells are precoated with mannan isolated from Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Calibration

The assay is calibrated to U/mL against an arbitrary internal reference calibrator, as no internationally recognised reference preparation is currently available. A 5 point calibration curve is generated. A cut-off control is provided if being used as a screening assay.
