Conjugates / Controls

Fluorescein Conjugated Antibodies

Binding Site manufacture a range of Fluorescein labelled conjugates for use in IFA techniques. These are offered as affinity purified prediluted products or undiluted products. Prediluted conjugates are available with or without Evans Blue counterstain.

These conjugates are supplied as 1mL undiluted. The information supplied with each product indicates approximate working titres for common applications. Ideally, every laboratory should establish the working titre on each batch of conjugate by chequerboard titration using their own immunofluorescence equipment.

Non-affinity purified Fluorescein conjugated antibodies are also available.

For non-rodent tissue

The use of non-rodent tissue may lead to high non-specific staining. This is easily addressed by the use of tissue specific conjugates which bind only to human immunoglobulin, for example in the detection of skin antibodies.

Positive Control Sera

These control sera are prediluted, ready for use in immunofluorescence assay techniques. They are monospecific for the autoantigen stated. These controls are designed for use as 'working positive' control sera and the reactions they show are that of a moderate positive.
